Nuggets During a Post Vacation Slump.

one // Guess where we were last week? Yes, it is true. Celebrating my husband's spring break on Space Mountain. My parents treated us to this little vacation and it was fantastic.

two // We actually returned last Sunday, but I haven't been able to get back into the swing of blogging.

three // I haven't been able to get back into the swing of life, actually. I hosted a party at my house last night and didn't even do the dishes before the guests arrived! Oh, my.

four // Gained three pounds eating Disneyland's amazing chocolate covered bananas. The party food last night didn't help, either. (Someone brought a yummy, sweet Chex-mix that I couldn't stop munching on.) I'm thinking another sugar fast is in order. An internal battle is raging.

five // Speaking of the party, Bunco is a super fun game. (In case you are wondering, twelve people played. I think I had the third lowest score.)

six // I talked a couple of my friends' ears off about my favorite kind of literature: Asian history.  Hope they will let me talk to them again...

seven // The ladies stayed talking until well after midnight. I could have talked longer. So, my husband had to listen to my bantering for another hour.

eight // I've a goal to catch up on missed work, laundry and cleaning this weekend.

nine // Will be back next week with a book report series. My office shelf is full of non-fiction & craft books that are too wonderful not to share.

ten // Thank you for all of your Formspring questions. It was fun to come home from vacation to several new beauty questions to answer. I'll be posting a few more beauty-answers soon.

Happy Weekending!

  1. So glad to get a little bit of catch-up via blog with you. I totally understand the post-vacation slump. I felt it hard after we went to Disneyland in the fall. I love Asian history books, too- how have we not discovered this yet? I took a history of modern China class in college and had to read 8 books and it sparked the interest for me.

Good luck catching up. I'll email you about plans!

  2. Fun! Sounds like a great way to spend a spring break. That was super sweet of your parents!

I have a few friends that play Bunco but I have no idea how to play it. They usually make an announcement on facebook when they have an open spot. I’m tempted to try it out because they always seem to have so much fun!

Hope you get caught up on all your house hold chores! Can’t wait to hear about these awesome books!

  3. I wish my face was in that picture. :(
    Glad you had fun though!
I am still trying to get over our spring break vacation - though ours was probably not as exhausting as yours.

  4. I kind of had the feeling that you were going to Disneyland.
This picture is so sweet. What a happy family you are =)

  5. Looks like fun! We are going to go there in May, can't wait! I'm glad you had a good time with your family.

  6. How exciting! I can't wait to take my kids to Disneyland!!

Your mom always looks so healthy and beautiful- how does she do that?

  7. Asian history is my favorite genre of literature too!!! You can talk my ear off any day! I just wish I could convince my ward book group how awesome it is...

  8. OHHH! What a fabulous spring break! I live really close to Disney! And I really enjoy being a "kid"!! Looks like you all had fun!!

LOVE visiting here--you always share so much! LOVE IT:) Always inspired!

  9. My family was there last week, too. And it seems so was everyone else (15,000 extra people in the park last Wednesday).

  10. Your BEAUTIFUL family and that GORGEOUS shot, complete with Castle, is like the perfect punctuation mark on "family!" WHAT a treasure!!!

  12. Blogging and life slumps happen. I've spent the past couple of weeks cleaning, organizing and washing my entire bedroom. I think I'll be out of any "funk" when I'm done.

Asian history is your favorite lit? Never had someone talk my ear off about that. :) Just fiction but I COULD NOT put down The Good Earth when I read it.
